Through my research paper on self-representation in art, I explored the many ways identity can be expressed beyond traditional portraiture. Inspired by artists like Tracey Emin and Sophie Calle, I came to view self-portraiture as something conceptual—where personal objects and context can become powerful forms of self-expression. In one project, I used a Vogue magazine from the year I was born to explore the cultural influence of fashion at that time. This connection between personal history and broader societal trends became a meaningful way to reflect on my identity.
